“You can worship God and pray every day ritually; it means nothing unless your heart dances continuously, unless you create an aroma of cheerfulness within and without.
-OSHO
Then whether you remember God or not, it does not matter. If you are cheerful, God remembers you.”
In the pursuits of life, many chase after wealth, power, prestige, and respectability. Yet, all of these are nothing more than sand. A house built upon sand may appear stable for a while, but it is destined to collapse. Time spent building on sand is time that cannot be reclaimed, for repentance cannot reverse wasted years.
The wise know this truth. They build their house of life not upon sand, but upon the rock of love. Such a house is no ordinary dwelling—it becomes a temple, for where love abides, eternity is present.
Love as the Face of God
Love is not of the earth; it comes from the beyond. It is the way God approaches us, the form in which the divine makes itself known. If God were to appear before us directly, we would not recognize Him. Our minds would doubt, our senses would question. But love is the subtle language of the divine—a face of God we can recognize without hesitation.
Love as the Bridge
Love is one of the most mysterious of all phenomena. Half of it belongs to earth, and half of it belongs to the sky. It is a bridge, connecting the known with the unknown, the visible with the invisible, the temporal with the eternal.
Though we may not see the far shore, we can see the bridge. The bridge itself is proof that the other shore exists, for no bridge can exist with only one end. Love, then, is the living evidence of eternity woven into the fabric of our earthly lives.
Living Like the Lotus
To live wisely is to remain in this world, yet not be of this world—just as the lotus grows in the muddy water yet remains untouched by it. The lotus rises above, pure and radiant, while still rooted in the pond. Similarly, one who lives in love moves through the world but remains free from its illusions of sand.
